Flyers Fail to Move Rasmus Ristolainen Before Trade Deadline
The Philadelphia Flyers were unable to trade Rasmus Ristolainen before the NHL deadline. GM Danny Briere noted that teams failed to meet his asking price. Insider Elliotte Friedman reported that the Detroit Red Wings considered Ristolainen but ultimately chose Justin Faulk instead. While Ristolainen remains a physical force on the blue line, the Flyers must now wait until June if they wish to revisit potential trade scenarios for the defenseman.
