Jamie Benn Misses Open Net in Stars Shootout Loss

Jamie Benn and the Dallas Stars saw their franchise-record 10-game winning streak snapped in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Colorado Avalanche. Benn, who had scored earlier in the game, missed an open net with just over a minute remaining in regulation, a pivotal moment that preceded Valeri Nichushkin's game-tying goal for Colorado. The Stars remain second in the NHL with 86 points.
