Anze Kopitar Celebrates Historic 1,500th NHL Game Milestone
Kings captain Anze Kopitar reached a major career milestone, playing in his 1,500th NHL game during a 5-3 victory over the New York Islanders. He becomes just the 25th player in league history to hit the mark and only the eighth to do so with a single franchise. The veteran center, who is retiring this spring after 20 seasons in Los Angeles, is currently just five points away from passing Marcel Dionne to become the Kings’ all-time career scoring leader.
