Don't Trade Valeri Nichushkin: An Indispensable Piece

Trading Valeri Nichushkin would be a poor decision for the Colorado Avalanche. The 31-year-old forward is a foundational piece, crucial for playoff hockey with his forechecking, puck possession, and net-front presence. Despite this season's stats (12 goals, 24 assists in 51 games) and contract scrutiny, his impact goes beyond raw numbers. His relationship with goalie Mackenzie Blackwood also adds to team chemistry and stability.
