Cossa Recalled by Red Wings Under Emergency Conditions

Sebastian Cossa has been recalled by the Detroit Red Wings under emergency conditions due to John Gibson's upper-body injury. Cossa has had a stellar season with the Grand Rapids Griffins, posting a 24-4-3 record with a 1.99 GAA, .927 save percentage, and five shutouts. This move potentially marks his second NHL appearance. He previously won his only NHL game in relief on Dec. 9, 2024. Cossa sees room for improvement despite his impressive numbers, stating, "So far, it's been good, but it could be better for sure." He will back up Cam Talbot against the Vegas Golden Knights.
