MacKinnon Hits 100 Points in Record Time, Leads MVP Race

Nathan MacKinnon secured his fourth consecutive 100-point season with a third-period assist to Gabe Landeskog in the Avalanche's 5-1 win over the Ducks. He reached the 100-point mark in just 56 games, becoming the first player in Avalanche/Nordique history to do so before their 60th game since Peter Statsny in 1981-82. MacKinnon continues to lead the league with 41 goals and 59 assists, and remains the favorite for the 2025-26 NHL MVP award with -190 odds, having won the Hart Trophy last season.
