Mackenzie Blackwood to Start Monday vs. Kings Amidst Strong Recent Play

Colorado Avalanche goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood is slated to start on the road against the Los Angeles Kings on Monday. Blackwood has been in solid form recently, allowing two or fewer goals in four of his last five outings. During this stretch, he has compiled a 3-2-0 record, a 1.43 GAA, and recorded one shutout. His consistent performance suggests he's solidified his role, though a back-to-back could see Scott Wedgewood start Tuesday.
