Giannis Returns from Calf Injury with Double-Double, Vows Smarter Approach
Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo returned Monday from a five-week calf injury absence (suffered Jan. 23), playing 25 minutes under restriction against the Celtics. He posted 19 points (7-18 FG, 5-7 FT), 11 rebounds, and two assists in the 108-81 loss. This was his second calf strain this season, having missed 29 games. Antetokounmpo, 31, stated he felt "rusty" and needs to be "smarter" with his rehab and body care moving forward, acknowledging age. He is expected to remain on a minutes restriction as the Bucks battle for a playoff spot.
