Luukkonen Activated from IR, Starts for Sabres Against Devils

Buffalo Sabres goalie Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen started on the road against the Devils on Wednesday, making 27 saves in a 2-1 win. Luukkonen was activated from injured reserve after a lower-body injury sidelined him and prevented him from participating in the Olympics. In January, the 26-year-old netminder posted a 4-2-1 record with a 3.21 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage over eight games.
