Allen Confirmed as Starter for Wednesday's Game Against Sabres

New Jersey Devils goaltender Jake Allen was the first goalie off the ice during Wednesday's morning skate, confirming he will draw the home start against the Sabres. Allen had a shaky performance leading up to the Olympic break, posting a 1-6-0 record with a 3.08 GAA and an .880 save percentage over his seven appearances since the start of the calendar year. He gets the nod as the Devils' first game back after Jacob Markstrom played for Sweden at the Olympics.
