Canadiens' Ivan Demidov Returns Early for Event Amidst Calder Race Lead

Montreal Canadiens forward Ivan Demidov is cutting his holiday short, returning to Brossard on February 11 to inaugurate the GoPlex e-karting center. The event offers fans a chance to meet the NHL rookie-of-the-year contender. Since joining the Canadiens last April, Demidov has become a fan favorite. He currently leads the rookie scoring race with 46 points, holding a two-point lead over Beckett Sennecke, though Matthew Schaefer is the Calder Trophy favorite. Demidov will face Schaefer for the first time on February 26.
