Maple Leafs' Easton Cowan Returns to London Knights During Olympic Break
Toronto Maple Leafs rookie Easton Cowan spent the Olympic break watching his former team, the London Knights, in Ontario. Cowan, who played four seasons with the Knights, won two OHL Championships and a Memorial Cup (MVP). In his first NHL season, he has 7 goals and 17 points in 43 games but has recently been a healthy scratch. Coach Craig Berube noted Cowan "needed a little bit of a reset," suggesting the break will benefit him. He is eligible for AHL assignment before the Maple Leafs resume play on Feb. 25.
