Hagel Scores, Fights, Continues Offensive Surge in Lightning Win

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Brandon Hagel opened the scoring 2:08 into Thursday's 6-1 victory over the Florida Panthers, tipping a Victor Hedman shot. He also engaged in a fight with Matthew Tkachuk in the third period. Hagel, who will participate in the Olympics, has been thriving in Brayden Point's absence, averaging 3.6 shots and 7.5 attempts per game, and 4.3 shots at home, clearing 2.5 shots in 13 of 17 games. He's scored eight goals in nine home games without Point, playing on the top power play and line.
