Jared McCain Traded to Thunder, Expected to See Increased Playing Time

Jared McCain has been traded from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a 2026 Rockets first-round pick and three second-round picks. The second-year guard struggled in a crowded 76ers backcourt and had an injury-riddled start to his career (torn meniscus Dec 2024, thumb surgery Sep 2025). He now provides backcourt depth for OKC and could see increased playing time immediately, as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) is sidelined until after the All-Star break.
