Brennan Othmann embraces opportunity with Rangers, scores first NHL goal
Brennan Othmann sees the New York Rangers' retooling plan as an opportunity to prove himself, having carved out a more permanent role and playing in 10 consecutive games since his latest call-up. After a frustrating 2024-25 season with no NHL goals, the 23-year-old forward scored his first NHL goal on January 17th in a 6-3 win against the Flyers. Othmann, who had a five-game point streak in the AHL before his call-up, is mostly playing a third-line role and on the second power-play unit, expecting continued opportunities with the team's focus on the future.
