Clay Stevenson makes 18 saves in Capitals' 4-2 loss to Flyers
Clay Stevenson made his third straight start and second in two nights, defending the road net against the Philadelphia Flyers. He stopped 18 of 21 shots in the Capitals' 4-2 loss, which snapped Washington's three-game winning streak. Stevenson had won his previous two outings, stopping 48 of 52 shots, including a 29-save performance in Monday's 4-1 victory over the Islanders. Despite his recent strong form, he was beaten by Jamie Drysdale, Owen Tippett, and Carl Grundstrom, as Philadelphia's offense found its stride.
