Kevin Durant Out with Sprained Ankle After Stepping on Fan's Foot

Houston Rockets All-Star forward Kevin Durant missed Monday's game against the Pacers due to a sprained left ankle, an unusual injury sustained when he stepped on a fan's foot during a recent game. Coach Ime Udoka confirmed the "tweaked" ankle with no timetable for his return. Durant, who was named an All-Star reserve for the 16th time, is averaging a team-best 26.2 points per game and had not missed a game this season due to injury prior to this incident. Reed Sheppard is expected to fill his spot.
