Evgeni Malkin Cleared to Play Against Blackhawks

Evgeni Malkin (undisclosed) is set to play Thursday against the Chicago Blackhawks. Despite an apparent injury on Sunday, the 39-year-old center will remain in the lineup. Since returning from a previous upper-body injury, Malkin has been productive with five goals and six assists in his last 10 games. He will continue to play on the wing of Thomas Novak on Pittsburgh's second line.
