Kane Ties Modano for U.S.-Born Points Record

Patrick Kane has tied Mike Modano as the highest-scoring U.S.-born player in NHL history, recording his 1,374th career point with an assist in the Red Wings' 3-1 loss to the Kings. Kane, who previously became the 50th player and fifth American to score 500 goals this month, will have a chance to break the record Thursday against Washington.
