Mattias Ekholm Scores Rare Hat Trick, Oilers Defense Shines in 7-4 Win

Edmonton Oilers defenseman Mattias Ekholm recorded a hat trick against the Anaheim Ducks on Monday, becoming only the fourth defenseman in franchise history to achieve the feat in a 7-4 victory. Known for his shutdown play, Ekholm's offensive outburst contributed to the Oilers' blue line combining for five goals. His performance, which Connor McDavid called "legendary," also sparked speculation about a potential Olympic roster spot for Sweden.
