Canucks Winger Brock Boeser Placed on IR After Head Injury

Vancouver Canucks winger Brock Boeser has been placed on injured reserve after sustaining an elbow to the head from Pittsburgh's Bryan Rust in the final seconds of Sunday's game. Rust will face an NHL Player Safety hearing for the hit. Boeser's injury will sideline him for an unspecified period, impacting the Canucks' offensive lineup. The team recalled Jonathan Lekkerimäki and Victor Mancini from the AHL. Boeser has 12 goals and 25 points in 50 games this season.
