Evan Bouchard Explodes for Six Points, Hat Trick in Oilers' OT Victory

Evan Bouchard delivered a historic performance in Saturday's 6-5 overtime win against the Capitals, scoring three goals (a hat trick) on eight shots and adding three assists for a total of six points, along with a plus-5 rating and two blocked shots. This six-point outing marks only the 24th time an NHL defenseman has achieved this feat, and the fourth for an Oilers blueliner. It was Bouchard's best game in 400 career regular-season outings. In January, he has accumulated seven goals and 11 assists, bringing his season totals to 14 goals, 55 points, 142 shots, 73 blocked shots, and a plus-9 rating in 53 appearances.
