Chychrun Cleared to Play Saturday vs. Oilers After Whiplash Scare

Washington Capitals defenseman Jakob Chychrun (undisclosed) is expected to be in the lineup Saturday against the Oilers, according to Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post. Chychrun had been dealing with whiplash after taking a hit in the third period of Friday's game versus the Flames. However, he has checked out fine and will avoid missing a full contest. The defenseman is anticipated to occupy his usual top-four role and receive power-play time for the Capitals.
