Spencer Martin to Start for Rangers Against Sharks Amidst Team Struggles

Spencer Martin is confirmed to start in goal for the New York Rangers on the road against San Jose on Friday, marking his third start in the team's last four games. This season, Martin holds a 1-1-0 record with a 4.11 GAA and an .848 save percentage across four outings. His increased workload comes as the Rangers continue to struggle without Igor Shesterkin (lower body), who has been sidelined since January 5. The opposing Sharks are currently ranked 17th in the league, averaging 3.08 goals per game.
