Ex-G League Player Charles Bediako Granted Temporary College Eligibility

Charles Bediako, who spent 2.5 years in the NBA G League (most recently with the Motor City Cruise, Detroit Pistons' affiliate) after playing two seasons at Alabama, has been granted a temporary restraining order making him immediately eligible to compete for the Crimson Tide. The NCAA had denied his appeal, citing concerns about sidestepping rules and taking opportunities from high school students. Bediako, who averaged 4.9 points and 5.4 rebounds in 16 G League games this season, could return to action as early as Saturday, January 24.
