Duclair's Stick Change Ignites Scoring Surge with 7 Goals in 7 Games
Anthony Duclair has found a red-hot scoring touch, netting seven goals in his last seven games for the New York Islanders after making a surprising change to his stick. Previously, he had only scored four times in the season's first 39 games and was a healthy scratch. Duclair, who had never changed his stick specifications since junior hockey, grabbed teammate Casey Cizikas' stick after practice and immediately felt his shot was "unbelievable." He has since ordered a shipment of sticks to Cizikas' specifications, with coach Patrick Roy noting his increased confidence and good positioning.
