Hart Out Until After Olympics with Lower-Body Injury

Carter Hart (lower body) is set for a long-term absence and isn't expected to be available until after the 2026 Winter Olympics, as confirmed by Golden Knights GM Kelly McCrimmon. Hart was placed on injured reserve Thursday for an injury sustained Jan. 8 against Columbus. Adin Hill and Akira Schmid will handle goaltending duties. The 27-year-old is seemingly targeting a return when the Golden Knights resume play in Los Angeles on Feb. 25 after the Olympic break.
