Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen is slated to start on the road against Carolina on Monday, as reported by Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550. Alex Lyon (lower body) will serve as the backup after being activated from injured reserve. Luukkonen holds a 10-6-2 record with a 2.72 GAA and .901 save percentage in 18 games this season. In his last outing, he made 30 saves on 35 shots in a 5-4 overtime loss to Minnesota.
