Alex Lyon Activated Off Injured Reserve Monday

Alex Lyon (lower body) has been activated off injured reserve by the Buffalo Sabres on Monday. This move corresponds with Josh Norris being placed on IR. Lyon holds a 10-6-3 record with a 2.82 GAA and a .906 save percentage across 21 appearances in 2025-26. Now healthy, Lyon will re-enter the competition for starts alongside Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and Colten Ellis, potentially as the No. 1 option, though the Sabres are unlikely to use a single regular starter with three active goalies.
