Durant Passes Nowitzki for 6th All-Time Scoring, Eyes Michael Jordan

Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant made history Sunday, passing Dirk Nowitzki for sixth on the NBA's all-time scoring list with 31,562 career points in 1,161 games. In the 119-110 win over the Pelicans, Durant recorded 18 points (5-18 FG), 8 assists, 6 rebounds, and 1 steal in 36 minutes. He secured the milestone with two free throws in the final minute. Nowitzki, whom Durant "idolized," congratulated him. Michael Jordan (32,292 points) is the next target, with Durant potentially reaching fifth place this season and challenging Karl Malone and Kobe Bryant if he stays healthy through his contract.
