Tolopilo Gets Unexpected Start for Canucks vs. Oilers

Nikita Tolopilo will start in goal for the Vancouver Canucks at home against Edmonton on Saturday. This unexpected opportunity arises as Kevin Lankinen, initially slated to start, is dealing with an illness and will serve as Tolopilo's backup. Tolopilo has a 2-2-0 record at the NHL level this season, having surrendered 15 goals on 142 shots in five appearances. He faces an Edmonton team that ranks sixth in the league with 3.31 goals per game, though they will be without key offensive player Leon Draisaitl (personal).
