Kevin Lankinen, initially expected to start for the Vancouver Canucks against Edmonton on Saturday, will now serve as backup goaltender due to an illness. Nikita Tolopilo will start instead. Lankinen holds a 6-13-4 record this season with a 3.36 GAA and an .887 save percentage through 24 appearances. In his last five outings, he is 0-3-1, allowing 15 goals on 140 shots. His next opportunity to start is anticipated for Monday's home game against the Islanders. Edmonton will play without Leon Draisaitl (personal).
