Canadiens Send Owen Beck to AHL Laval Amidst Depth Changes

The Montreal Canadiens have assigned 21-year-old center Owen Beck to the Laval Rocket in the AHL. Beck had been serving as the 13th forward since Josh Anderson's return, and the recent acquisition of Phillip Danault further bolstered the team's depth at center. In 15 NHL games this season, Beck scored his first career goal, his only point, and maintained a plus-four rating while averaging 9:11 of ice time. His reassignment may also indicate that Kirby Dach is nearing a return to the lineup.
