Connor McDavid's 20-Game Point Streak Halted by Sorokin's Shutout
Connor McDavid's impressive 20-game point streak was snapped Thursday night as the Edmonton Oilers were shut out 1-0 by the New York Islanders, with goaltender Ilya Sorokin making 35 saves. McDavid joined Wayne Gretzky and Paul Coffey as the only three players in Oilers franchise history to achieve a point streak of at least 20 games. He nearly recorded an assist but Leon Draisaitl's shot hit the post late in the game.
