James Reimer Poised for Senators Debut, Signed One-Year Deal Amidst Goalie Depth Changes
Goaltender James Reimer is poised to make his debut for the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday against the Rangers, following his signing of a one-year, $850,000 contract on Monday. With Hunter Shepard reassigned to the AHL and Leevi Merilainen having played Tuesday, Reimer is a strong candidate to start. This would mark his eighth NHL jersey. The 37-year-old recently played for Team Canada at the Spengler Cup and previously had stints with Toronto, San Jose, Florida, Carolina, Detroit, Buffalo, and Anaheim.
