Blackwood Activated Off IR, Set to Return for Avalanche After Six-Game Absence

Colorado Avalanche goalie Mackenzie Blackwood (lower body) has been activated off injured reserve and is expected to rejoin the team for Friday's game against Nashville, participating fully in Thursday's practice. He missed six games, during which the Avalanche went 3-2-1. Prior to his injury, Blackwood was having an elite season, boasting a 13-1-1 record, a 2.07 GAA (which led the NHL at the time), and a .924 save percentage through 16 appearances. Trent Miner was reassigned to AHL Colorado.
