James Reimer Signs One-Year Deal with Senators Amidst Goalie Crisis
Veteran goaltender James Reimer, 37, has officially signed a one-year, $850,000 one-way contract with the Ottawa Senators. This move comes as the Senators cope with Linus Ullmark's personal leave of absence. Reimer made his organizational debut Sunday with AHL Belleville, allowing six goals on 28 shots. He previously played for Team Canada at the Spengler Cup and had a PTO with the Maple Leafs this past fall. Reimer has played 525 NHL games across eight teams, holding a .910 save percentage. He joined Senators practice Monday, preparing for Tuesday's game.
