Commesso Records First NHL Shutout with 36 Saves for Blackhawks

Drew Commesso earned his first NHL win and shutout, making 36 saves in the Chicago Blackhawks' 3-0 victory over the Predators. This marked his second consecutive start, filling in for Spencer Knight and Arvid Soderblom who are out with illness. Commesso significantly improved after allowing five goals in his previous game, now having allowed five goals on 60 shots over two starts. He will remain with the Blackhawks until the other goalies recover, becoming the first Blackhawks goalie since Corey Crawford to achieve his first win as a shutout.
