Ryan O'Reilly Eyed in Trade Rumors, Role & Fantasy Value Could Drop

Nashville Predators' first-line center Ryan O'Reilly has recorded 34 points in 38 games this season, with 21 points coming in his last 16 appearances. However, O'Reilly is currently a subject of trade rumors. A potential move to a contending team is expected to significantly reduce his role, likely placing him on a third line and curtailing his power play time. This projected decrease in ice time and offensive opportunity would consequently diminish his fantasy value, prompting analyst Michael Finewax to suggest trading him.
