Hurricanes' Gostisbehere Out Monday Due to Groin Injury

Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere (groin) will be sidelined for Monday's home divisional matchup against the Rangers, confirming his status after being a game-time decision. He skipped Sunday's practice for maintenance due to a tweaked groin. This marks his first missed game since November 9th. The blueliner has been productive, tallying 3 goals and 22 points in his last 22 appearances. Carolina recalled Gavin Bayreuther from AHL Chicago for defensive insurance. Gostisbehere's next chance to play is Tuesday in Pittsburgh.
