Thompson to Start Against Rangers Despite Recent Struggles

Logan Thompson was the first goalie off the ice Tuesday, signaling he will start at home against the Rangers. Despite his recent struggles, going 2-2-2 in his last six outings, he has maintained a 2.28 GAA and recorded two shutouts during that span. The 28-year-old backstop continues to handle the majority of the workload for the Capitals and is expected to retain the No. 1 job into 2026.
