Kane Sidelined with Upper Body Injury, Nears Milestones
Detroit Red Wings winger Patrick Kane is day-to-day with an upper body injury sustained Saturday, forcing him to miss at least the next two games. His absence is expected to be brief, with a potential return next Sunday. Kane has accumulated 23 points in 24 appearances this season, including 14 points in his last 12 games. He is two goals shy of 500 career goals and nine points from surpassing Mike Modano for most points by a U.S.-born player. John Leonard will fill his spot on the second line.
