Jarry Set to Start Against Former Team Penguins, Embraces Oilers Role
Tristan Jarry is expected to start Tuesday on the road against the Pittsburgh Penguins, his former team. In his Oilers debut Saturday, he stopped 25 of 28 shots in a victory over the Maple Leafs. Jarry, who was traded from Pittsburgh where he posted a 9-3-1 record with a 2.66 GAA and .909 SV% in 14 games, has expressed genuine excitement about playing in Edmonton. He won the Memorial Cup with the Edmonton Oil Kings in 2014 and owns a home nearby. Jarry is signed through the 2027-28 season at $5.375 million per year.
