Oilers Inquired About Alex Lyon Before Jarry Trade Amid Strong Play

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Alex Lyon has been a subject of interest, with the Edmonton Oilers reportedly checking on his availability before their trade for Tristan Jarry. Lyon, who is in the first year of a two-year, $3 million deal, has recently showcased strong performance, winning both games on the Sabres' six-game road swing, including a 30-save victory against the Vancouver Canucks. His recent play comes as the Sabres manage a three-goalie roster dilemma.
