John Carlson Returns to Capitals Lineup Thursday After Upper Body Injury

Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson (upper body) is set to play against Carolina on Thursday, marking his return after missing the past three matches. Carlson, who has six goals and 23 points in 26 appearances this season, was previously a game-time decision. His return means Dylan McIlrath is expected to be a healthy scratch.
