Capitals' John Carlson Nearing Return from Upper-Body Injury
Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson (upper body) could return for Thursday's game against the Hurricanes, according to head coach Spencer Carbery. Carlson has missed the last three games due to his injury but will be a game-time decision following Thursday's morning skate. In 26 appearances this season, he has recorded six goals, 17 assists, 38 blocked shots, nine hits, and six PIM while averaging 22:52 of ice time. His potential return would boost the Capitals' defensive corps.
