Batherson Scores Two Power-Play Goals, Disallowed Goal Sparks Debate

Ottawa Senators forward Drake Batherson scored two power-play goals in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the New Jersey Devils, bringing his season total to 12. However, an earlier goal in the first period was controversially disallowed for a 'distinct kicking motion' after the puck deflected off his skate blade and then off Devils goalie Jacob Markstrom into the net, sparking debate. Batherson's second goal was assisted by Dylan Cozens.
