Jake Evans Struggling in Contract Year

Montreal Canadiens center Jake Evans is experiencing a significant downturn this season, struggling mightily after a career-best year. Among players with over 50 minutes of ice time, Evans ranks last on the team with a minus-28 goal differential. Despite signing a four-year, $2.85 million extension last season, he's on pace for just 23 points, down from 36 last year. His ice time has been limited in recent games due to inconsistent faceoff performance.
