Dobes Earns Start vs. Jets; Seeks Rebound After 4.42 GAA Slump

Jakub Dobes will start in goal for the Montreal Canadiens at home against the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday, as reported by Marc Dumont. The 24-year-old backstop began the 2025-26 season with a six-game winning streak but has since posted a 2-3-2 record over his last seven outings, sporting a 4.42 GAA and giving up seven goals in his previous game against the Avalanche. Despite recent struggles, Dobes has already achieved a personal best of eight wins this year and could challenge Sam Montembeault for more opportunities.
