Blackhawks' Brossoit Nears Return, Available for Trade
Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Laurent Brossoit is nearing a return from a knee injury that sidelined him for the entire 2024-25 season and is expected to begin an AHL conditioning stint. Due to his $3.3 million cap hit and the team's current goaltending depth, Chicago has granted other teams permission to discuss a potential trade for the 32-year-old. Brossoit previously posted a 15-5-2 record with a 2.00 GAA and .927 SV% in 23 games with the Jets and was part of Vegas' 2022-23 Stanley Cup team.
